I think my turnout is getting a little bits better.

And last night at the commissary I SO wanted to practice grand battements off of my *very heavy* cart, but not only would I have been knocking people out left and right because it was so crowded, I think I would have also gotten shitload of wierd looks from people. :D

Annnnnnnnnnnnd....

did anyone else notice how much aircommercial-time "Dancing with the Stars" got during the Super-bowl?!
Good thing: First day on skis of the season was yesterday.

Bad thing: Can't even stretch my feet out into a tendu without screaming in pain. So I think anything ballet related will have to wait until I can walk and stretch without moaning, and until the bruises from my boots heal up.

I ws going to take pics of me in ski wear doing ballet stuff, but I forgot the camera in my purse, so thats for next time!

I got the AWESOMEST magenta pink tutu from my bf's parents!!! Its super awesome, with a fluffy pink tulle skirt, a tiny overskirt with rhinestones on it, and an attached bodice of magenta pink satin, a nude panel, and GORGOEUS sparkly rhinestones on the bodice. It looks fabby on me, and when I get my camera back I'll take pics of me in it! (which is gonna have to wait until NEXT weekend because I left my camera at my bs house, D'oh!!!)

AND they got me two pairs of cotton legwarmers, one light pink and another black pair. Over-the-knee, which rocks!

SO HAPPY!!!

Woo! My bf's parents got me the coolest ornament, its a pewter pair of ballet shoes with a small pink sparkly stone on them at the top. Tres cool, very spiffy! I'll have to post a pic of it later!

Maybe tonight and tomorrow I can definently do some omg, tendus and releves and stuff and stretch. Ooh, mmmm would be good!

Hahaha maybe my NYR would be to actually do ballet stuff EVERY night until may. Like see if I can stick with it really good. If I actually got myself exercising a bit every day I think anything is possible now, LOL!

So I'm getting mildly attacked in another community. Its fun, and would be more-so fun if the person who was attacking me would actually read my journal, do a little math in her head, and just in general would stop over-analyzing everything.

Other than that annoyance, I'm doing good. Work...work has been insane, christmas season and all that. One day I pulled a 7 hour workday in the morning and then did christmas shopping that night. I gave in to a frozen dinner for dinner because I just couldn't stay awake enough to cook. Right now, where I'm trying to eat healthy, it was "oh god! the preservatives in that!" but I can deal. It was soo good too, Marie Calander makes the best noodly dish, whichever one it was that I ate. lol. My eating schedule this week got totally fucked up. I've been running on pure adrenaline this week just to keep moving. Hopefully next week will be less crazy and I can go back to having normal eating habits. Including salad, mmm salad.

And due to this crazy week, I'm now at my goal. I think I'm down to 115. And I look really good at this weight, now time to tone tone tone TONE up. Because my stomach is more toned up than I think its ever been, my posture has totally improved too, which is awesome! I gotta stay on top of exercising in the morning, otherwise it'll all slip away. After I get the abs and my legs and thighs and butt to look nice, then I'm gonna work on my arms. HAHAHAHAHA, I have NO upper body strength, its so sad. That should be fun. For my legs though, luckily with all the running up and down stairs I do at work, I'm getting a decent workout each day. Cardio even, hahahaa.

I really wish I could stretch out at work, hahahaha, wouldn't THAT be funny, but I think the managers would disapprove of me doing ballet barre work at the bar. LOL. :D I so miss doing ballet barre at night while watching CSI or whatnot. :( Gonna start to have to fit it in somehow when my schedule reorients itself. This week was crazy. Hopefully next week not as crazy.

I pulled muscles in my back from doing a specific set of crunches wrong. And it hurts. Whenever I move. And it sucks.

So I'll go back to doing crunches the way I learned them and let my back heal up a bit.

But on a good note, I did 300 of them today, 200 with no stopping! go me!

I would kill to do some ballet barre work tonight but I doubt its gonna happen after work. :-\
I SO miss ballet classes, its nuts.
They had okay-ish food at the holiday party, but what I did have was pretty good. I ended up with some salad and some bow-tie pasta, and a tiny bit of meat. I didn't mean to eat so little, it just happened that way. Hopefully all the alochol I drank won't add up to too much calorie wise. :P

So this all means that I REALLY need to remember to eat a sandwhich or two before work because at this point I haven't eaten much of anything since two days ago. Oops.

Absolutely nothing ballet-related yet, because I just haven't had TIME to do much of squat towards barre exercises or anything. But I'm still a ballerina, if only deep inside :D

All healthy food, all decent healthy amounts.

And then go to Narnia and have the popcorn bag in my lap and WHAT do I do? EAT IT. ALLLLLLL OF ITTTTTT. It was like I couldn't stop. *smacks head with heel of hand* argh. Who knows where all thats gonna manifest itself, darnit! *laughs at self!*

Gonna have to be twice as good about when and what I eat this week, ESPECIALLY with that holiday party at my work tonight (free food and drinks) I heard a show tidbit from one of the trainers from "biggest loser" that a good holiday move to make is to eat a smallish meal BEFORE going to the parties so that you aren't tempted by all the food there.

Legwarmers

I just have to write this entry.

Ok, so, because I butchered my knee and thigh muscles at work the previous night, I spent a half hour that night streeeetching the muscles out, wore my thigh high legwarmers to bed to keep the muscles warm, and then woke up and streeeeetched some more. I decided that in the interest in being able to move without screaming, that the legwarmers would stay on for work.

And they did a lovely job! No problems, and only a tiny bit of pain. And after work they were already stretching out rather nicely, and I didn't have any problems by evening! Fantastic!!

All hail the legwarmer! That does a fabulous job even outside of ballet! :D

Well, last night was the first night at my new job, hostessing at a cute little irish pub in my town.

And I wore 3 inch heeled boots, they are more normal work boots, the ones I've been wearing EVERYWHERE For the past year and half. SO. I don't get the reaction I got.

Like the muscles right above my knee, say from my knee to three inches up, that whole bit, just completely bunched up and got insanely tight. It was so bad that by the end of the night I couldn't bend from the knees at all, I though it was gonna rip.

WTF.

It took me about a half hour of stretching with my legwarmers on (mmm legwarmers!) for the muscles to sloooowly stretch out. And I went to bed with the legwarmers on to keep those muscles warmed up and hopefully to loosen them up. Which worked rather well, but they are still sore and hurtful this morning!

GAH! Makes plies really hard and painful to do! Not cool!!!

My tummy is gettting smaller and tighter and less fatty! YES!!! All those ab crunches and body crunches and pelvis lifts are working! WOO!!!

Soon I will look hawt and small in my leotard and then I wont feel like a fricking heifer (even though I'm really not) in my leotard. At 24 you really shouldn't compare yourself weight wise to an 11 year old but in class with them a few days out of the week, standing there with your gut hanging out of your leo, its impossible NOT to. So I won't be there anymore. I won't be fat for classes, and I won't be out of shape. HA.

I WILL NOT GAIN THE WINTER WEIGHT.

I WILL NOT DO IT.

Thats my goal.

:D

Woo! I have a sneaking suspicion that my boyfriend's parents got me a Pointe magazine subscription for Christmas...because one mysteriously arrived yesterday in the mail! Woo! (too bad its a copy I already have, but I didn't mind browsing through it again, pretty pictures) So woo! Awesome!!

Also, I have fiiiinally finished the wholesale catalog for my company, Frogs and Ballet. Now just to send it out to ballet stores and pray and cross my fingers that they order things like mad! I REALLY want to see the pillows take off, and my new line of apparel too. Hopefully everything will come back from the silkscreener all beautiful and stuff. *prays* http://www.frogsandballet.com if you are interested. I really have some great ideas for this company and I want to take it further than my mom did. We're back, and better than before! :D

Ok, To Do List for Ballet:

Spend a whole evening or afternoon practicing spotting. I can't spot to save my life, I can only do about two before I become dizzy, so I seriously suspect I'm doing something VERY wrong. So I want to fix that, but I need to devote a whole day to it, not just try it here and there and get scared off.

More stretching. NEED to get my flexibility on my right leg way better than it is now. IF my left could do it, so can my right.

Try and avoid getting bulky muscles. I love my long thin slender legs, and I dont' want to ruin them with icky bulky muscles, so STRETCH them out dammnit! ;)

Work on balancing and pulling up.

Keep working on developpes, and Turning Out while doing them. Turned in is not cool, turned out is.

I've been so good the last few days.

Eating sparsley during the day, maybe allowing myself a few m&ms here and there, and a nice healthy dinner but on the whole, really good.

Oh and exercising lots too, in the morning and evening, trying to keep it going, trying to make it natural, trying to make it part of who I am. I am Kiki, I exercise. Regularly. ;)

AND I'm loosing weight. I can tell, the belly area is smaller and supposedly from the scale I've lost about 2.5 lbs already since sunday. :)

Its easier this week, I think the reason I was so frustrated a week ago/two weeks ago was because I was getting my pms bloat and just could NOT drop any weight or make any progress at all. It was like an uphill battle that I was not winning.

But I'm doing much better now. Everything about my body is looking awseomer. My calves have great muscle tone now (thank you releves!!) and my thigh muscles are getting stronger, and my butt is getting smaller and tighter, and my belly is getting flatter.

I'm so happy about it. I just wish it would drop off faster, but everything in its own time. I just want to reach 115 and STAY there for a period of time.

Oh and on a ballet related note: My developpe to the left is awesome. Its, aaaalmost 90 degrees. And that leg is way more flexi, I can kick it rather high now. I NEED to work on my flexibleness and strength in my right leg, its so sad. So I actually have started stretching. I just need to make stretching daily more a part of my life, kinda like exercising.

I just want to go back to class and like WOW my teacher, and uh maybe convince her that because I've continued practing and gotten parts of my ballet technique better that I should go on pointe sooner than later ;)

I am very happy today.

So it was Thanksgiving. And I swear all I did ALL THURSDAY, FRIDAY, and SATURDAY, was eat on the hour, every hour. Turkey, pie, turkey, salad, cranberry sauce, cranberry pie, pumpkin pie, whipped cream, turkey, pie, turkey, salad, popcorn, pie, you name it, I stuffed in it.

I gave into every single horrid and hibernation craving I had for three days.

And it was GOOD.

And barely gained a pound.

:D

I LOVE MY BODY!

HA!

Although I've now decided that my boyfriend's mom probably thinks I have an eating disorder because I never eat much when I'm around them. Tongiht she was trying to convince me to eat an extra taco, and I was trying to convince her that I was really not hungry. Too bad she couldn't see my thankgiving binge, lol! My boyfriend has determined, after seeing me scarf down an entire pie over a seven hour period, lol, that I tend to eat small meals many times over the course of one day (that is if I'm in grazing mode, not normal for me). I've also been having my way with the large pile of clementines in the fridge. Next are the grapes :D Mmmmm frrruuuuits :D

X-posted in many places

I'm very annoyed right now. I took ballet clothes to Robby hoping to spend Sunday morning stretching and exercising, but instead found myself at the track. Argh. Not that it would have really mattered WHERE I found myself anyway, because I have a stupid infection and rash that hurts and itches so much that I don't want to even move, not to mention stretching and exercising. About the only thing that doesn't hurt to do are eleves and reveles, but I don't feel like moving much right now.

DAMMNIT!!!!!

Maybe maybe maybe I can FINALLY do my pointe shoe picture project this weekend with Robby's car. It was the whole reason I bought the pointes in the first place, so I could take artistic pointe pictures on his pretty mach 1 mustang. You know, the grace and elegance of ballet contrasted with the heavy muscle-car manliness of the mustang. We'll see. If I do, do I keep the pointes pinky-ballet colored or should I dye them black? Not sure, not sure at all. But it would be so nice to do it finally. Hmmmmm....
